Do you have any stories to share or funny and awkward moments on set that have happened so far?
I'm glad you said "stories" plural because there's many awkward and embarrassing stories to tell. The first one that comes to mind was a few weeks back when we were shooting the scene which Natalie turns Strigoi at the fight sequence. I was super into it and I was dramatically running backwards which, by the way, is really very difficult you should try it. And I just fell back straight onto my tailbone and all you see is these awkward legs in the air just flailing about. So that was pretty embarrassing especially because there all these amazing stunt people around me and I was in so much pain. So that was bad. Two days ago I was in the makeup trailer and a moth came in. A really large, large moth. This is the least badass story in the world by the way, but the moth came in and it was very, very large - there's a moth right there actually - and I got up very girly-like and my skirt just fell off completely and everyone saw. So that's me. Those are two fun ones for you.

We've seen pictures of Danila and Zoey training for Blood Sisters. Did you do anything special to prepare for novice training scenes?
Yes I did. I have done a bunch of personal training like physical training. Also we've done like a bunch of fight training: open hand combat, we did stuff with stakes which is like knife fighting, which is really cool. I mean, I haven't done as much as Danila and Zoey. They could both kick my butt now. So it's been cool to be doing a bunch of it. It's always nice to have an excuse to play with knives and stuff.

What has been the best thing about starring in 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters'?
Well, I'm not starring. Zoey Deutch is starring and she plays Rose. But, the best thing about being in this film is really playing a vampire that's pretty awesome. And in the cast: Zoey, Lucy, Dom, Danila, Gabriel, everyone has been so much fun to work with. I've met some amazing people and have made some life-long friends. And I'm filming in London, which is pretty awesome so I don't think there's just one good thing about being a part of this movie. Everything about it has just been amazing. So that is your answer!

What is your favorite thing about your character and what drew you to play this part?
Christian Ozera is a very interesting character. The little boy in me was also excited to play a vampire who can also control fire and falls in love with the princess. It's almost that dream of being 5 years old and wanting to have these powers and all of these sort of things. That's what really drew me to the part was the little boy in me who got over excited at potentially playing a vampire. My favorite thing about Christian is that he's incredibly sardonic. He's sarcastic and he's hilarious in some of the things he says but he does it from quite a dark place emotionally, so it's really interesting to play a character who uses humor to turn his head on his problems.

You're an Aussie immersed in the vampire world. Was the transition from beach babe to Royal Moroi easy? How did you prepare for the role?
The transition from being an Aussie beach babe into a very pale, sun-deprived vampire has certainly been very interesting. When I found out I got the part I came back to Australia and started preparing for it there so it was kind of hard to hide from the sun at that point. But I did start covering up at the beach with massive umbrellas and sunscreen and trying to hide from the sun as much as I could, which you can now see with how pale I am. And then I started working on the English accent because Lissa is a royal vampire. In the process of creating the character, the director and I decided that she would be English because of her family heritage. So that was one of the processes of getting ready to play Lissa. Then I started doing some acting classes to try and figure out the way that Lissa dealt with the pain of losing her whole family - which I'm not familiar with, thank goodness - so that was a part of getting ready. I then came to England and I got green contacts so that I could have Lissa's jade green eyes. That was quite difficult in itself in trying to figure out how to put contacts in and take them out. It was very fiddly and for awhile I had this green world everywhere I looked and it was just moldy green. I was like "why is my world green?" But it kind of worked for the part because Lissa had trouble connecting with the real world because of all the things that she's been through and the demons that she has to face from her special powers. So having a blurry world kind of worked for the character for a lot of it. And then I had a really great dialect coach here who helped me with the English accent a lot, so that was really, really good. Now we're in night shoots so I stay up all night and I sleep all day so I am living a vampire life. Yeah I guess the transition from being an Aussie beach babe into being a Moroi vampire princess has felt quite natural cause it's been very slow and I've gradually given up the surfing and given up the sunshine and have come into this English world where its all ancient buildings and it just feels very vampire. I feel like I've kind of settled into the role quite naturally, which is a relief. Feels like I'm a real vampire now!
Also a huge thanks to Studio Canal Australia for making this all happen!
