With the release of Vampire Academy approaching we figured it was time to prepare and refresh our memories on this part of the Vampire Academy Countdown
Today we will be starting the first part of our Chapter Recaps, in which we will re-read the Vampire Academy novel together and comment on our favorite parts and thoughts in general. To kick-start our recap, here's a Chapter 1-5 recap from Fangirlish:
Chapter 1 excerpt:
So imagine that you are in charge of protecting someone. Not
like your kid, but rather - a Vampire princess. It's not like any other
connection; what she feels you feel. Your emotions are connected. You know one
thing p you must protect her at any cost. That is Rose Hathaways life.
Rose is having a nightmare, and she wakes up realizing it isn't
hers. It's Lissa's. Vasilia Dragomir is a Royal and Rose will protect her with
everything that she is. She's worried about Lissa when she wakes her and
remembers that Lissa needs to feed. So like its the normal thing to do, she
offers up her neck. Apparently it feels good to get the blood sucked out of
you. We aren't judging as we don't know.
But here's the thing about Rose. She's so kick ass that even as she's
lost a lot of blood, she still acts like she can take on the world.

Vasilisa Dragomir - She is Moroi.
She's got platinum blonde hair and jade green eyes. She's a princess who has
been on the run with her guardian Rose Hathaway. They have been best friends
since they were five.
Rose Hathaway - Fierce
Guardian. Offers up her blood to keep her guardian fed. She's got long brown
hair and big brown eyes. She's been best friends with Vasilisa (Lissa) since
she was five. Rose was instantly attracted to Dimitri.
Dimitri Belikov - Hotness with a Russian Accent.
Guardian. Sent to retrieve Lissa and Rose to bring back to St. Vladimir's. Dark
Brown Hair and Dark Brown Eyes.
